Michael Moore becomes a “Fact Free Zone”

Yum!

The drive is on to promote emotional appeals in favor of any actual consideration of facts. Of course, with only the most modest of historical knowledge you can see through this simplistic approach. All a good socialist needs is a bad guy – whether they are really bad or not. It’s “Their” fault! Take it from “Them”! Sadly, while this may make a great bumper sticker or serve as an actual political platform for a raving socialist or mental deficient (they are nearly interchangeable terms), it does not fly in a world where facts and the truth actually matter.

“Happy Clappy” Democracy for Egypt?

An AMAZING exchange on MSNBC. Just play the video. This is a perfect punctuation piece to our last story on Egypt and Democracy. The commentary here from Harvards Niall Furguson lays it all out plainly and completely. It seems to leave the Morning Joe crew a but speechless.

Egypt and Democracy

I really want all our hopes and dreams on the revolution in Egypt to come true. I would love for them to discover and earn freedom. Sadly, judging by the most influential players, this revolution has very little to do with what we as Americans understand as “Democracy”. We can save for another time a more in-depth discussion of what Democracy really is. For now, lets focus on some basics and see how it all applies to the real situation on the ground in Egypt.

China Continues Torture for Confessions

China is frequently mentioned when the various pundits talk about who we should be trying to emulate for the future. Frankly, there is nothing to learn from China, other than how NOT to run a country. No matter what “benefit” you might want to list, there is a cost to that benefit which completely negates it. Human Rights Watch has exposed the brutality and dishonesty of China.
